As part of its ongoing commitment to strengthening LGBTI+ support systems in the Western Balkans, ERIM is launching a call for an expert consultant to develop and deliver a Trauma-Informed Care (TIC) program tailored to the needs of LGBTI+ organizations and service providers in Albania and Kosovo.
About the Assignment
This consultancy is a unique opportunity to make a tangible impact on the quality of care provided to LGBTI+ individuals facing trauma. The selected expert will work closely with ERIM and local partners to deliver the following key outputs:
Key Responsibilities
- Desk Review
Conduct a thorough review of current Trauma-Informed Care (TIC) practices in Albania and Kosovo. This will include mapping existing services, identifying gaps, and documenting best practices relevant to the LGBTI+ community and the types of trauma they commonly face. - Training Delivery
Design and facilitate a 5-day interactive training program for professionals working in day centers and shelter services for LGBTI+ individuals. The training will introduce core TIC concepts and methods to enhance trauma-sensitive care delivery, using engaging and participatory approaches. - Manual Development
Produce a comprehensive manual on Trauma-Informed Care for use by service providers. The manual will offer practical tools, methodologies, and guidelines tailored to professionals working directly with traumatized LGBTI+ persons, particularly in shelter and day service environments. - Narrative Report
Prepare a narrative report summarizing the training, highlighting participant feedback, learning outcomes, and recommendations for future TIC-related capacity building. This report will help consolidate the knowledge shared and ensure lasting impact.
Target Audience
The capacity-building efforts will directly benefit:
- Employees of LGBTI+ organizations in Albania and Kosovo
- Service providers involved in the care and support of LGBTI+ individuals, particularly in shelter and day center settings.
Contract and Budget Information
- This is a deliverables-based service contract, awarded to the offer providing the best value for money.
- The expert’s fee should include all associated costs, including travel and accommodation, if necessary.
