Streha Center provides services to the LGBTIQ+ community in Albania and the region in cases of emergencies, including shelter and other psycho-social services for the empowerment of LGBTI+ individuals. The aim of Streha is to empower and assist LGBTIQ+ individuals, mainly youth, through its multidisciplinary and residential services, capacity-building of service providers, public awareness, and advocacy, in order to overcome barriers and difficulties faced by the LGBTI+ community in families and society. The primary focus of Streha is the empowerment and reintegration into society of at-risk youth within the LGBTIQ+ community (aged 18 to 29). The service is provided in the capital city of Albania, Tirana. However, it is not limited to the country and often offers services to Albanian’s youth from neighboring countries, such as Kosovo, North Macedonia, and Montenegro.

2. Project Background

This activity is implemented within the framework of the project “VISIBLE & TRUE: Promoting dignity, accurate information, and inclusion for LGBTIQ+ persons in Albania”. Co-funded by the EU, this initiative is part of the project “Proud to have Rights” and will be carried out by Streha Center. The project aims to counter misinformation, anti-gender narratives, and online hate speech targeting the LGBTIQ+ community in Albania through a structured, behavior-change-focused digital campaign. The campaign seeks to increase public understanding, strengthen positive social norms, and promote inclusive attitudes, particularly in digital spaces where harmful narratives are widely disseminated. The digital campaign follows a phased communication approach, storytelling based on lived experiences, and value-driven messaging promoting dignity, allyship, and inclusion. The role of the Content Producer will contribute to creating engaging and audience-appropriate multimedia content that supports the project’s objectives, enhances public awareness, and promotes inclusive narratives.

3. Objective of the Position

The Content Producer will provide structured content development and coordination for the project’s digital awareness campaign. The role ensures that communication activities are implemented across the full content cycle: from content planning and message development to production, publication, and adaptation across digital platforms. The Content Producer will play a key role in strengthening the quality, consistency, and impact of campaign messaging by translating behavior-change objectives into clear, engaging, and audience-appropriate content. The role contributes to promoting accurate information, countering misinformation, and fostering inclusive narratives in digital spaces. The objective of this assignment is to support the project in effectively reaching and influencing target audiences by producing strategic, high-quality content, supporting the implementation of the phased digital campaign, and contributing to increased public understanding, positive social norms, and inclusive attitudes toward LGBTIQ+ persons.

4. Scope of Work

The Content Producer will be responsible for the following activities:

1. Content Planning and Alignment

  • Contribute to the planning and implementation of communication and visibility activities, ensuring alignment with project objectives, target groups, and the approved work plan;
  • Translate key messages into structured, audience-specific content in line with the project’s behavior-change approach.

2. Content Production

  • Develop high-quality written and multimedia content, including social media posts, captions, storytelling materials, and scripts for short videos;
  • Ensure that all content is clear, accurate, accessible, and tailored to diverse audiences, particularly when addressing sensitive topics;
  • Apply behavior-change communication principles to maximize outreach, engagement, and impact.

3. Implementation of Communication Activities

  • Ensure the timely development and dissemination of content in accordance with the project timeline;
  • Adapt content across digital platforms (e.g., social media channels) while maintaining consistency in messaging, tone, and terminology;
  • Work in close coordination with the Graphic Designer and project team to ensure coherence between textual and visual materials.

4. Compliance with Visibility and Communication Requirements

  • Ensure all content complies with the donor visibility guidelines, including the correct use of disclaimers, logos, and acknowledgment of the donor’s support;
  • Apply inclusive, non-discriminatory, and rights-based language across all communication outputs;
  • Ensure ethical standards are upheld, including confidentiality, informed consent, and risk-sensitive storytelling.

5. Quality Assurance and Monitoring

  • Review and edit all content to ensure high quality, consistency, and compliance with project and donor requirements;
  • Monitor content performance (e.g., reach, engagement) and adjust outputs based on feedback and emerging needs;
  • Maintain proper documentation and archiving of all communication materials in line with reporting requirements.

6. Coordination and Reporting

  • Participate in regular coordination meetings with the project team and ensure timely incorporation of feedback;
  • Provide regular updates on communication activities and contribute to reporting on visibility and outreach indicators.

5. Deliverables

The Content Producer will be expected to deliver:

  • A structured editorial calendar aligned with the campaign phases, including key messages, content types, and publishing schedule;
  • A consistent set of high-quality content outputs delivered on a rolling basis in line with the campaign calendar, including:
    • Social media posts and captions;
    • Educational and myth-busting content;
    • Storytelling and narrative-based content;
    • Scripts and concepts for short videos and multimedia materials;
  • Content packages for each phase of the digital awareness campaign, ensuring coherence and progression across phases;
  • Pride-related content package, including targeted messaging and content adapted to the increased visibility period;
  • Adapted content for different digital platforms and formats(Website, Instagram, Facebook, video scripts), ensuring consistency and audience-appropriate communication;
  • Regular content updates and progress summaries, aligned with the editorial calendar and campaign implementation;
  • An organized archive of all content produced, including final versions and editable files where relevant;
  • A final summary report outlining work completed, types of content developed, key insights on audience engagement, and recommendations for improving communication impact and content effectiveness.

6. Duration and Payment
The Graphic Designer will be engaged throughout the implementation of the project’s digital awareness campaign, in accordance with the project timeline.

7. Qualifications and Experience
The ideal candidate should have:

  • Prior experience in content creation, communications, journalism, digital marketing, or a related field;
  • Experience in developing content for digital campaigns and social media platforms;
  • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with the ability to adapt tone and style to different audiences and formats;
  • Experience in producing educational, awareness-raising, or advocacy content is considered an asset;
  • Ability to translate complex and sensitive topics into clear, engaging, and accessible content;
  • Understanding of behavior-change communication principles or willingness to apply them in content development;
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and content trends (Instagram, Facebook, short-form video content);
  • Basic understanding of visual communication and ability to collaborate effectively with designers;
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple content outputs;
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills;
  • Fluency in Albanian, with a good working knowledge of English.
