CALL FOR SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER

“Streha” Center Background
Streha Center provides services to the LGBTIQ+ community in Albania and the region in cases of emergencies, including shelter and other psycho-social services for the empowerment of LGBTI+ individuals. The aim of Streha is to empower and assist LGBTIQ+ individuals, mainly youth, through its multidisciplinary and residential services, capacity-building of service providers, public awareness, and advocacy, in order to overcome barriers and difficulties faced by the LGBTI+ community in families and society.

Project Background
The goal of this project is to create inclusive, safe, and affirming environments for LGBTI+ youth in Korça, Lezhë, and Lushnja, by strengthening the capacity of local NGOs and public institutions to actively include LGBTI+ individuals in community life, provide affirmative services, and improve access to protection mechanisms.
This project aims to improve the situation of LGBTI+ people through four key pillars:
(1) Developing the capacities of local NGOs and institutions.
(2) Establish strategic partnerships with local actors.
(3) Facilitate connection and support services for LGBTI+ individuals.
(4) Promote public awareness and positive social change.

Ovjective
The objective of this ToR is to recruit a Social Media Manager who will be responsible for managing the project’s social media presence, engaging with the community, and coordinating with the Graphic Designer and Project Coordinator to ensure a cohesive and impactful online strategy.

 Scope of Work
The Social Media Manager will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Content Management: Oversee the scheduling, posting, and monitoring of content across all social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc.).
  • Community Engagement: Actively engage with followers, respond to comments and messages, and foster a positive and inclusive online community.
  • Case Communication: Communicate with cases and beneficiaries through social media channels, providing support and information as needed.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Graphic Designer to ensure that all visuals align with the project’s goals and messaging.
  • Reporting: Regularly update the Project Coordinator on social media performance, community engagement, and any emerging issues.
  • Strategy Development: Contribute to the development and implementation of social media strategies that align with the project’s objectives.

  • Social Media Calendar: A monthly calendar outlining planned posts and campaigns.
  • Engagement Reports: Monthly reports detailing social media engagement, including metrics such as follower growth, post reach, and community interactions.
  • Campaign Execution: Successful management and execution of social media campaigns, in collaboration with the Graphic Designer.
  • Case Communication Log: Maintain a log of communications with cases and beneficiaries, ensuring confidentiality and appropriate follow-up.

  • Required Qualifications
  • Experience: At least 2-3 years of experience in social media management, particularly in managing campaigns and community engagement.
  • Skills: Proficiency in social media platforms, content management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer), and basic analytics.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong ability to engage diverse audiences.
  • Sensitivity: An understanding of the issues faced by the LGBTIQ+ community and a commitment to promoting inclusion and diversity.
  • Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with the Graphic Designer and Project Coordinator, contributing to a cohesive team effort.
